Wow, today was so much fun! I got to celebrate my friend's birthday with her. We all went out to this amazing Caribbean restaurant called Bahama Breeze. Her boyfriend made it seem like a date, but when she got to the restaurant, there was a host of friends and family there to surprise her.
We finally got seated after an hour and a half wait (this restaurant is crazy popular) and we ordered drinks and food. This dinner was so much fun. Everyone shared food. Literally, people passed their plates around the table allowing everyone to get a bite, and some people even traded plates! Then we all sang happy birthday to Nikki and took pics with the birthday girl. Some random guy wanted to take a pic with her too :). After the celebration, I rode to Dawn's house and she gave me a cup of hot coffee before I got back on the road, and her mother said a prayer over me for safe travels.
What stood out the most to me about this celebration was the love. The bible says in Acts that everyone shared everything, and that's what we did at the celebration. Also, it was really sweet how everyone took the time out to plan a wonderful birthday celebration for such a wonderful woman.
