Fate

Across the land two lovers meet.
Though they do not touch,
Their hearts become complete.
Fate has brought them here thus far,
Their love shining bright as twilight's star.
Past humming birds and bubbly brooks
Through a dark and virulent night,
They love each other and together fight,
Holding on to a ember dream,
They travel in hope it seems.
Though hope is abstract its strength is real
Holding them tightly, merging their wills,
Until at last they become one in song,
Two hearts that beat in synch as one.
